Chef Herman Chin graduated from the California Culinary Academy in 1995 and soon began working as a chef at Silk Restaurant in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in San Francisco. That same year, he opened his own Japanese restaurant in downtown Union Square, laying the foundation for what would become a beloved dining destination.
Chef Herman’s passion for exceptional cuisine is rooted in his belief that the finest dishes begin with the finest ingredients. He is dedicated to selecting the freshest seafood and produce available, carefully sourcing fish from markets around the world to ensure the highest quality for every guest.
